Water Stills are used to prepare distilled water for specimen preparation and laboratory testing.
The still is an essential part of equipment in modern material testing laboratories. In operation the water is heated gently and converted to steam by keeping it boiling at a slow rate. The steam is condensed in an in-built condenser and the distillate collected in a receiver. This is free from all imputerities and gases. Copper, brass, bronze and tin are used in the fabrication of the stills. The surfaces coming in contact with water are heavily tinned which prevents metallic contamination. A water inlet valve is a part of the still for connecting to a tap. An overflow is also provided to maintain the water at proper level. Two sizes of still are manufactured by us one having two litre per hour capacity and the other four litre per hour capacity.
The distillation capacity of this still is 4 litre/hour. Suitable for operation on 220 V, 50 hz, single phase supply.
AIR COMPRESSORS & VACUUM PUMPS
In busy laboratories, where several pressure outlets are needed for different tests, the use of a central air compressor is very economical. Using pressure regulators (Supplied on order) desired regulated pressures can be tapped out from the same compressor maintaining pressure slightly more than the desired test pressures.
This compressor has two stage compressor head which generates the higher pressure in two stages. Complete with air receiver, ON-OFF switch, ressure switch, safety valve pressure gauge and one pressure outlet valve. Suitable for operation on 440 V, 3 phase, 50 hz supply.
Note : The above compressor can be fitted with a single phase motor for operation on 220 V. Single phase, 50 hz supply if specially ordered.
Vacuum pumps are used in the laboratories for deairing etc. We supply small capacity vacuum pumps for general laboratory use. Driven by a ¼ HP motor. It can generate a vacuum of 0.5 mm of mercury which is enough for routine laboratory purposes.
For operation on 220 V, 50 Hz, single phase supply.
