Automatic Bituminous Compactor (Electrically Operated)

HB64.10

This new ‘HEICO’ Compactor automatically stimulates hand compaction as specified in ASTM D-1559 and develops a uniformity in the test procedure. The apparatus consists of a chain drive coupled to the motor through a gear box, and carries a locking device which lifts and releases the hammer through a specified height. Fitted with a counter which trips the motor automatically after 50 or 75 strokes as set on it.

Suitable for operation on 220 V, 50 Hz, single phase supply.

Universal Bituminous Compactor

HB64.15

Suitable for 100 mm and 150 mm mould.

Centrifuge Extractor (Hand Operated)

HB64.25

For determining the quantity of bitumen in hot mixedpaving mixtures and pavement samples.

It is a portable unit for use in field and laboratory. It consists of a cast aluminium bowl mounted on vertical shaft and a filter paper disc is pressed in between bowl and cover plate by a knurled nut. A whole system is enclosed in a cast aluminium body. There is provision to introduce the solvent through an inlet in housing cover. Complete with 25 filter discs.

Centrifuge Extractor (Motorised)

HB64.30

Thermometer IP 280 C. Range -6° to +400°C for use with Cleveland Flash & Fire Point apparatus

Ductility Testing Machine

HB64.35

IS 1195

For determining the hardness number of mastic asphalt for flooring.

It consists of an internally insulated cabinet to the base of which is fitted a water bath having two taps. The bath is heated by an immersion heater and the temperature is controlled with a thermostat at 350+/- 0.50C. A 6.35 mm dia pin is loaded on the specimen by means of a lever to give 31.7 kg. Weight. A dial gauge 0.01 mm x 25 mm is provided to record the penetration of pin into the specimen.

Refrigerated ductility testing machine with processor based temprature and speed controller

HB64.635

Same as HB64.35 except that it has stepper motor for control of speed and refrigeration system for controlling and maintaining temperature at 27° +/- 0.2°.

Hardness Tester for Mastic Asphalt

HB64.40

IS: 1195

For determining the hardness number of mastic asphalt for flooring.

It consists of an internally insulated cabinet to the base of which is fitted a water bath having two taps. The bath is heated by an immersion heater and the temperature is controlled with a thermostat at 35°+/- 0.5°C. A 6.35 mm dia pin is loaded on the specimen by means of a lever to give 31.7 kg. Weight. A dial gauge 0.01 mm x 25 mm is provided to record the penetration of pin into the specimen.

Film Stripping Device (Electrically Operated)

HB64.45

For determining the resistance of bituminous mixture to stripping of the asphalt from aggregate particles and for judgeing the adhesive capacity of bituminous material. Applied to aggregate fraction passing 9.525
mm sieve and retained on No.8 Sieve.

It consists of a disc on which four bottles are mounted. The disc rotates at a rate of 100 r.p.m. approx. The
sample is kept in bottles and agitated for 15 minutes. The percentage of aggregate stripped is estimated by
visual observation. Provided with a time switch.

Suitable for operation on 220 V, 50 Hz, single phase supply.

Benkelman Beam
